Humanity Today...

Me (14:22): Guy died yesterday... Of a sprained knee. Well, had a knee injury 8months ago. But @550lbs he couldn't get out his recliner. EMTs took him to Hosp, covered in

CNN says a couple was arrested of child abuse for tying down and beating "with closed fists and wires etc" their daughter. They did this, because they were shamed by her. The lil tart (of 8 years old) had allowed herself to be lured to a shed and raped by four boys no older than 14, one of the nights they'd locked her out of the apartment and left her begging for food from the neighbors.
•Mom & Dad... Burn in hell. There isn't enough paper in Staples for all the papercuts I'd like to administer to you before I bathe you in bleach and light you on fire.
•Neighbors.. Wtf? No one takes the girl to CPS after this happens frequently? No one even calls the Police? Wtf is wrong with you?

Also.. The new US Preventative Task Force guidelines on Mammograms:
(Previous: Yearly after 40. Manual breast exams by doctor as part of periodic health exam. Every 3yrs in 20s&30s, every year after 40. Also, manual self-exams starting at 20. Early detection is key!)
NEW guidelines: Recommends AGAINST mammograms 40-49... Recommends every TWO years 50-74. Recommends AGAINST manual self-exam.

Um.. Wtf? We find a cure or you people just cutting corners? Most docs feel this is economy related & will continue to recommend the previous standard.. Which remains the American Cancer Society's guidelines.
SO all you women who found lumps pre-50... You'd be dead. Everyone with mastectomy's resulting from Mammogram at 40.. Yea. Dead.

Didn't we just have that "Save the Ta-Ta's" thing come out? Encouraging young women to self-exam right? Jeeeeeeeze.

Me (16:14): More news on 5yo girl that was taken: Raped & asphyxiated the day she went missing (Nov10). Same bs from family "He couldnt!" "She's never!" blah blah. Also... Granma Davis says her daughters not into drugs and prostitution! But NC State Spokewoman says Davis has been arrested of both before!

Why I hate family's proclamations of innocense: "He's always been a good uncle!" "She's never abused them before!" Accordin to your Trailer-Park-University Psych Degree a person must be a psycho from birth so you can catch them young right? Murderers torture cats, and rapists assault younger siblings first? This Davis girl's rapist/murderer's sister claims he's always been a good uncle! He went to the hospital with an armload of baby stuff for his nieces. So, just because he didn't molest YOUR children- that you know of- he couldn't POSSIBLY have done it to anyone else!
The dead baby's grandmother proclaims "She's never abused her kids!" This girl only lived with her for a month... The guy picked her up from Mom's HOUSE... What? Mom let's guy she's not dating take her 5 yo girl for Ice Cream in the park? Pffft.

Little Girl was a product of a one night stand with an alleged drug-addict-prostitute. Pictures of the girl lead me to believe he's at least not hard up, but who lets their daughter live with mom like that unsupervised. Mom can come Visit.. Take her to church or DQ. ugh.

I'm so angry, this'll be the last I rant about it til I get convictions. I can't take anymore.

So this link that visually assaulted me while I was feeding my cute lil Fishville fish caused me to become apathetically enraged. Enraged because this doctor (who's from Canada btw, check the awesome Maple Leaf pin) is blathering on about HIS opinion, how if all the OTHER doctors were as caring as HE, we'd ALL noticed this problem 40 years ago. What problem? The problem that some kinda get adverse reactions to Vacs? Let's say 1/100,000 kids get an adverse reaction to a vaccination, does that mean we just shouldn't vaccinate at all? This page actually insinuates that you, the average person, or ME! Even ME a NURSING STUDENT could possibly be smarter, more informed, more educated and properly prepared to make an informed medical decision on vaccinations than a guy who went to Med School for ten years. Are you KIDDING? Nice BS comment about the pediatricians don't even see the baby, it's just handed off to "some nurse" to vaccinate en masse. Ooh, I love "how can a nurse with no medical training level a physician has provide a procedure, a surgical procedure which vaccination basically is, without any knowledge of what's going on?" Mm hmm, Lindsey, Jeff, wanna punch him in his grill yet?

Treo755p vs BlackberryTour: Day 3

Yesterday the Tour made a huge lead w/Google Sync, which would allow
me to keep my Contacts & Calendar synced without all the redundant
typing! Muy Awesomo!

Today its falling SHARPLY behind...

The Tour comes with a Docs2Go like Treo does, only its an odd trial
version that doesn't allow you to create New documents, auto-input
formulae, or format cells. I was able to dl the apparently-only-free
excel clone for BB (GridMagic) so I can create new spreadsheets, but
it cannot find the .xls I put on the SD. Likewise the Docs2Go doesn't
see the GridMagic xls... Ok.. So GridMagic's out since I can't get it
to see anything I have already made. Docs2Go would be liveable, but is
such a pain to use with the trackball. At least an up/down button
would be nice.
Note: Docs2Go on Treo 700p is irritating in its own right: prefers its
own format (Sheet to Go) and takes forever to open/save/load xls. It
also has a habit of creating several random incomplete files (like
temp save files). It's crashed a few xls' so bad I've deemed them
unrecoverable.

Email: Ok seriously, why can't I DL a file from email? There's two
different "native" ways to do it (BB Gmail App, which apparently is
text-only) and (BB email, which does show image-placeholders!) Neither
allow me to DL. Going online to the web allowed me to DL, it appeared.
But where the heck did it put it? I even took the SD out and put it in
the PC to look for them! Serious fail.

Bluetooth: seriously, what's wrong with it? I can send a pic to the
Treo, but I can receive nothing. Both devices visible, pre-paired to
recognize eachother, BB blinks when Treo tries to connect, but Treo
always fails. BB doesn't even have options to send contacts, memos, or
documents.

OH YEA! And it JACKS up my blog when I try to read it. Looks like a
busted iFrame and I can't get the darned thing to orient right. Huge
lack of points there. Only cause its MY blog. The Wordpress does show
up nicely, but I haven't committed to that one. I think cause I can't
customize the background, but that's a different problem.

Seriously, Geotagging, better camera, and the possibilities of GPS do
not outweigh being unable to properly and efficiently use my most
frequented programs/functions. I don't see it recovering from today,
lest I can dig up some useful work-arounds.

I'm supposed to know that 3 letters not in the book anywhere mean the Sulfur Motility Test? SMT... SIM... Yea... I get that. Not.

Being out in the relative-middle-of-nowhere is hard when I remember wonderful Thanksgivings at Granma's house: Everyone showed up early to hang around and catch up. We helped Granma Jo in the kitchen (ok, usually we just stole cookie dough batter and got in the way.) There were some years were we sat out back and fold out tables, and some where people plunked down at the huge table in the dining room. Mostly I think we were split between each zone depending on age!

This year the families are far spread.
Jacksons et al in various locales of Arizona.
Ellis' and derivatives all over Illinois.
Kepley/Mascolos in Florida.

As we all spread out, let us remember...
THEY CAN'T CATCH US ALL!!!
